Office hours [all day, Saturday, October 21]

Vader was in his office.

With the door closed.

While he slammed things around.

Just because he had to be there didn't mean he was going to enjoy it.

Stupid students. Stupid parents. Stupid Obi-Wan.

At some point, Wilson slipped by, braved the crashing of things inside -maybe Vader was just messy when redecorating- and he set down a steaming mug of fresh Chicory roast (http://www.communitycoffee.com/ccc/Catalog_CS/coffee-detail/2095/premium-coffee-blends/everyday-premium-coffees/new-orleans-blend%C2%AE-coffee-and-chicory/) coffee.

Wow...flashback to House.

"There's coffee?" Wilson pointed out, picking the mug up and holding it out towards tall black and scary.

"It smells really good, I promise. I went looking specifically for a nice aromatic blend that I thought you'd like."

At some point when Lorelai didn't have anyone in her office, she toted Bucky down the hall to Darth Vadar's office. Rory had handwavily told her that she'd had some issues with her Ethics teacher and Lorelai decided to kill two birds with one stone: find out what could possibly cause her daughter to have an issue with a teacher and meet a co-worker she hadn't met yet.

She knocked on the door, bouncing Bucky on her hip.

Vader moved the mug closer--as close as he would ever come to saying thank you.

"Visitors are annoying," he commented.

Vader reached into the Force and sighed. He'd been expecting this visit for a while.

"Hi!" Lorelai greeted upon entering, grin fixed firmly in place. "I'm Lorelai Gilmore-Danes and I'm one of your co-workers," she said. "This is my son, Bucky and my daughter, Rory, is one of your students." She switched Bucky to her left hip and held out her right hand to shake.

It was good for Wilson and he let the mug go as it...uh...moved.

"Well, it does seem to throw the island into a bit of a tizzy but it's good for the student body and parents can be our best allies if we let them."

He smiled and probably completely and perhaps purposefully missed the point that technically speaking he fell under that visitor label.

"Redecorating?"

The only thing in the office--and there wasn't much to the place--that remained untouched was a Zen garden on his desk.

"You make the right choices?" Mrs. Kim tried to pin him with her glare. This was complicated by her inability to find his eyes.

Lorelai's grin stayed firmly in place, but she put her hand down. "I'm so sorry I haven't had a chance to introduce myself sooner, but my time is not my own anymore. This little guy demands a lot of attention."

Pursing his lips, Wilson nodded agreeably. "It's good not to bottle things up."

Turning back to Vader, he smiled warmly. "Well, I imagine it's going to get busy for us both, so I'll leave you to it. Come by, if you need a...err... refresher of the steam. I'll have it brewed all day."

"My mother thinks I'm crazy for having another baby when Rory's almost ready to start college," Lorelai told him. "But I never married Rory's dad and my husband and I have been married a few years and even though he's been more of a father to Rory than her own father ever tried to be, we decided that it would be nice to have a baby together."
