"I don't have any classes today so I was bored," she explained. "Uhh, not that I would only come to see you when I was bored! And, hey, glitter! I learned how to waterbend with glitter over the summer!"
"Well, I'm not really bending the glitter, but if I mix it with water, I can bend the water and the glitter goes along with," she explained, still trying not to facepalm at herself.
Anakin gave her a proud smile. "They also don't like getting their heads cut off," he said. "Just in case that ever comes up again. You were all right?"
Katara paused thoughtfully. "I wonder if I could use a waterwhip for that." She looked up and nodded. "Fire works on them too. I was good, there were only a few injuries in the group and I could heal most of them."
"It's nothing to be apologetic about," Anakin said soothingly, the line of his new scar faintly white in the glare of the office lights. "Everyone has limits, much as we'd prefer never to run against them. Why were you fighting vampires?"
"Because Mel's a slayer," Katara explained. "And at her home the vampires were trying to take over." She paused, considering telling Anakin about Mel's brother but the figured that was Mel's business.
