Roy looked too young to be a parent, he was barely nineteen himself. But he still knocked on Anakin's door and entered.

"Hi, Mr. Skywalker?"

"I wanted to talk to you about one of your students," Roy said. "Hayley Fitzpatrick?"

"That's her," Roy said. "Sorry, I'm just... concerned about her."

That was an understatement, given how she'd flipped out on him, yesterday.

Janine knocked politely on the doorframe, not wanting to interrupt the man if he was working. "Professor Skywalker?"

"Janine Hathaway," she said by way of introduction. "I understand you have my daughter Rosemarie in your class."

Well now, this was the second teacher-surprise for the day.

"Bright and participatory?" she asked skeptically. "No attitude problems, or skipping class, or anything like that?"

The thing about getting as many warnings about this as he had was that when it came time to do this, Jacen was almost nervous. At the very least, he had no idea what to actually expect.

Also, Jaina could have warned him that Anakin looked about twenty-five. Let that be surprise number one.

"Hello, Grandfather."

That was about as much as he could have expected. He was still erring on the side of caution, since he didn't exactly trust Jaina's take on the situation. "Do you mind if I come in?"

Arvan made his way to Anakin's office and knocked as he approached the doorway. "Master Skywalker?"

Arvan stepped inside and gave a smile. "I just wanted to meet one of the teachers my son told me a lot about. I'm Arvan Carrick, Zayne's father."

Really, the Old Republic style of his clothes might have been a hint in that direction.
